With the application of New Technologies to Law, LegalTech Labs are being set up by bars, universities and other institutions to host events, training, co-working spaces or research on innovation, digital skills, digital transformation and Legaltech. ​
In this session we will explore some of these initiatives and discuss the best models to attain the goals of offering students the best posible training. The event is organized by the Innovation in Law Studies Alliance (ILSA) with the aim to answer these questions:
What is for you a legaltech lab?What kind of institutions are using LegalTech Labs?Why do you consider it interesting for a law faculty to set up a legaltech lab? What are the main benefits?How can LegalTech Labs improve student’s skills?What are the appropriate models that allow institutions to achieve their goals?
The speakers will be:
Erick Richard Alexis Rincón Cárdenas: President of Colombia Fintech, founder of the law and fintech company Rincón Cárdenas & Moreno and associate professor in Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia.Paul Handal: Adjunct Professor at IE Law School, partner at Revamp Law and Co-director of the Legaltech Lab at Universidad de Valencia, Valencia, SpainAlexandra Andhov: Advisory Board Member at the MIT Computational Law Report and Assistant Professor in Corporate Law in the University of Copenhaguen, Denmark.
And the moderator will be María Jesús González-Espejo, managing partner at the Instituto de Innovación Legal and President at ILSA, Madrid, Spain.
